UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar

Posted at...Posted at November 10th, 2008 by Jman2k3 in Fighting, Global, Justin, MMA, Wrestling | CommentsNo Comments

UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on November 15, 2008 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The main event will feature the return of UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture versus Brock Lesnar in a title bout.

Winner: I am going to pick Brock Lesnar. Couture hasn’t been inside of a mma cage or ring since August of last year against Gabriel Gonzaga. You could say this situation is similar to when Randy beat Tim Sylvia for the title cause he had come out of retirement to do it. This situation is nowhere near similar. Sylvia is way past his prime, and Randy almost knocked him out in the first ten seconds of the fight when he was caught by speed attack by Couture. This is also evident when Sylvia lost to Fedor Emelianenko in thirty seconds. Brock will win this because not only does he have the size, strength, and speed advantage, his wrestling his on par with Couture. Lesnar has dominated his two UFC opponents in Heath Harring and Frank Mir. Mir got lucky with a knee bar to beat Lesnar because of his inexperience at defending against submissions. What it will come down to is if Brock can counteract Couture’s vast experience edge and pull out the win. I can see Randy winning by submission or decision but not by KO like he wants.

TNA Victory Road

Posted at...Posted at July 13th, 2008 by Jman2k3 in Justin | CommentsNo Comments

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling proudly brings you Victory Road from my hometown of Houston, Texas at Reliant Arena this Sunday.

I must say I am kind of jealous about my cousin David meeting Bubba Ray and Devon better known as the Dudleyz or Team 3D. I mean from what I heard from people who have met them they are some of the most down to earth and humble celebs you can meet. They are arguably the best tag team of the modern era. They have held a collective tag championships twenty time which consisted of the ECW, WWF, WWE, WCW, NWA, and TNA tag titles. No other tag team has come close to this not even the legendary Road Warriors. All they need to win is the AWA and ROH tag titles and they would have won all the major tag titles in the States.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship:
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Booker T
winner: This one is tought to pick, but I think Joe will pull out the victory to set up the eventual fued between Joe and Nash.
“Fan’s Revenge” Lumberjack match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship:
Latin American Xchange (Homicide and Hernandez) (w/Salinas and Hector Guerrero) (c) vs. Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode w/Jacqueline)
winner: Beer Money.
TNA Knockout Grudge Match
Gail Kim vs. Angelina Love
winner: Angelina Love. She has been getting somewhat of a push lately and a victory over Gail will go over big.
Jay Lethal (w/SoCal Val) vs. Sonjay Dutt
winner: A lot of people will probably pick Jay Lethal, but I think TNA will throw a curve ball and have Sonjay win with help from Val.
Fans Vote for stipulation: Tables match, Falls Count Anywhere, or Full Metal Mayhem:
Rhino, Christian Cage, and A.J. Styles vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) and Kurt Angle
winner: Rhino, Christian Cage, and A.J. Styles simply because 3D and Angle have basically destroyed them this whole month.
TNA Women’s Knockout Championship:
Taylor Wilde (c) vs. Awesome Kong
winner: Awesome Kong.
World X Cup
Team USA/TNA, Team Japan, Team International, and Team Mexico
winner: Team Mexico
